Silence as a Political Behavior in Academic Organizations: A Phenomenological Study

The purpose of this study is to reveal the causes and meanings silence in formal group settings academic organizations. To end, a deep comprehensive investigation was performed using phenomenological approach, which qualitative method, with 36 staff who had experienced within relevant structure. findings revealed that context produced by structural cultural characteristics organizations caused psychological, socio-cultural, individual, situational, managerial factors, factors attributed organizational context, besides system. On other hand, synthesis textural descriptions showed reflects form political behavior identified different definitions insights related phenomenon life.
